What is SCWDA?
Swiss parent association for Country Western Dance (CWD).
It was founded on 16th March 1997.
Purpose and Aim

Cultivation and furthering of CWD in Switzerland

Achieving a professional status in the future

Holding Swiss championships in CWD

Qualified and recognized training and development of
instructors

Working together with all concerned in the “Spirit of
the CWD family”

To support interested dancers, their knowledge and
ability so that they can learn from qualified teachers.

Transmission of international terms (dance steps)

To standardise the terminology, so that both students and
teachers may profit from it.

To have a coordination and communication partner with the
SCWDA

Representation of the Country Western dance sport in
international affairs.
